HBOT SAVE LIVES!
"Since medical information is no longer cloistered in private medical libraries, patients are often sophisticated to the point where they serve as an important source of information for their doctors... but consumers are often more interested in therapies that fall outside of the powerful groups" - Dr. Harch (The Oxygen Revolution)

Dr. Neubauer's pioneering work with hyperbaric oxygen and the potentially recoverable brain led to the development of the first medical center in the world to focus on the role of HBOT in aiding the recovery of patients from stroke, coma, traumatic brain injury, cerebral palsy, and anoxic encephalopathy. Improvements for patients with Multiple Sclerosis, ALS and Parkinson's are documented in NHNC case studies.
NHNC was the first center in the world to successfully treat mitochondrial disease with hyperbaric oxygen.
Riding the wave of mid-20th century scientists world-wide, who began reporting positive to dramatic improvement in certain patients treated with hyperbaric oxygen, Dr. Neubauer, with colleague Sheldon F. Gottlieb, published the Neubauer-Gottlieb Technique for staining and assessing areas of brain injury with SPECT scans, before, during, and after HBOT. This not only provided clinicians a way to observe and measure revitalization of injured tissue as patients made gains physically and mentally, it upset the apple cart of traditional thought that all neurons surrounding an area of brain injury are dead. For all these reasons Dr. Neubauer is consider one of the main healers of Hyperbaric Oxygen.
Joseph C. Maroon, MD, is a board-certified clinical professor of neurological surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and the Heindl Scholar in Neuroscience.
His clinical and research interests have been in the areas of the development of minimally invasive surgical procedures to the brain and spine, the prevention and treatment of traumatic injuries to the central nervous system, innovative approaches to pituitary and other brain tumors and more recently complimentary approaches to inflammatory diseases associated with aging.
He was honored by his peers when he was elected president of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the largest society of neurosurgeons in North America.
Honored as one of America’s best neurosurgeons for 12 consecutive years he has written over 250 papers, 40 book chapters and five books. Definitely one of the major healers of Hyperbaric Oxygen.
Dr. Rossignol, MD FAAFP is a board-certified family physician. He received his Doctorate of Medicine at the Medical College of Virginia and completed his residency in family medicine at the University of Virginia. Coming from an academic background, Dr. Rossignol searched the medical literature looking for a solution after both of his children were diagnosed with autism. He has made it his mission to research and publish in autism. Since 2006, he has 55 papers, abstracts, editorials, and book chapters (including those in press) concerning autism and related conditions. Dr. Rossignol has a special interest in autism spectrum disorders, PANS/PANDAS, cerebral palsy, and related neurological and developmental disorders as well as medically complex children and adults. Dr. Rossignol is a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians (FAAFP) and a Fellow of the Medical Academy of Pediatric Special Needs (FMAPS). Another Healers of Hyperbaric Oxygen, Lanier Rossignol, BSN, MSN, FNP-C is a board certified family nurse practitioner trained in evidence-based medicine at the University of Virginia. She received her Master of Science in Nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and a Bachelor of Arts in Neurobiochemistry at the University of Virginia. Prior to her journey into integrative medicine, Lanier worked as a neurosurgical intensive care unit nurse and as a family nurse practitioner in an urgent care setting. After Lanier’s two sons were diagnosed with autism and traditional treatments seemed ineffective, God lead her down a path to discover underlying medical issues that were inhibiting her children from making progress. That path led her to seek information from researchers, specialists and published medical research studies. Once her children’s underlying health issues were treated by evidence-based medical treatments, they began speaking and making progress in therapy and school. As a result, of her children’s progress and her gratefulness to God, she felt compelled to help other families find their children’s treatable underlying medical issues. Therefore, she has joined her husband, Dr. Dan Rossignol, and his medical practice as a Nurse Practitioner to help families struggling with developmental delay, autism, cerebral palsy, chronic fatigue, attention issues, hyperactivity, mitochondrial disorders/dysfunction, seizure disorders, gastrointestinal issues, aggression, anxiety, PANS/PANDAS, and others. Lanier sees patients in our Aliso Viejo office.

Dr. Daphne Denham is yet another one of the Healers of Hyperbaric Oxygen and is a board certified general surgeon who started practicing wound care and hyperbaric medicine over 10 years ago, to spend more time with her 6 children. Watching the effects of concussions on her children friends, she questioned the "wait and see" approach for acute concussions. Over the past 4 years acute concussions have been her passion. In July 2018 she moved from Chicago to Fargo, ND to continue her quest to change the standard of care for acute concussions. She will be presenting original research suggesting the efficacy of HBOT in the treatment of acute concussions in young athletes. Dr. Denham serves a member of Hyperbaric Medicine International's Council on Accreditation.
